About TwitPickr

TwitPickr is a small website about getting photos onto X in good shape. It has one tool and a handful of guides.

The photo tool on the homepage resizes and crops images to the shapes X uses for posts, headers and profile photos. You drag the photo to frame it, choose JPG or PNG, watch the file size change as you move the quality slider, and download the result. There's also a box for writing the image description, with a counter for X's 1,000-character limit.

The tool runs entirely in your browser. Your photos are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Once the page has loaded, you could disconnect from the internet and it would keep working.

The guides cover the questions that come up around photos on X: which sizes and shapes display well, how to write useful alt text, how to get your photos back out of X, how to move a photo library between services, and what happened to Twitpic and the other early photo-sharing services.

Who runs it

TwitPickr is written and maintained by the TwitPickr Team, a small group of people who post a lot of photos and got tired of seeing them cropped badly. We don't sell anything, we don't run ads, and we don't use affiliate links.

The name and the domain

TwitPickr was relaunched in 2026 under new, independent management. It has no connection to earlier owners of this domain or to the service that once used the name, and none of that service's accounts, pages or photos exist here.

TwitPickr is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by X Corp., Flickr or Twitpic. Product names are used only to describe what our tool and guides are about.

Corrections

X changes how it displays images from time to time. If something in a guide no longer matches what you see, please tell us through the contact page and we'll check and update it.
